Andrew Watson has worked with Glanbia Central Laboratory, Dungarvan, Co Waterford, Ireland since 2011 as an external consultant to assist in the development and management of its quality system in particular internal auditing.
Andrew’s experience ensures that the lab’s quality system is thoroughly evaluated; method witness is robust and impartial across all three laboratories, Microbiology, Chemistry and Animal Disease. The continuous independent evaluation of our laboratory provides the lab management and staff, our clients and external auditor’s (including DAFM) with confidence and assurance in our services.

Altair Analytical have used Andrew Watson for over two years to improve and simplify our internal quality system and to carry out some of our internal audits. Being a small company there are some areas that we cannot audit ourselves and having Andrew available to carry out an, impartial audit not only serves to satisfy UKAS and ISO 17025 but also gives us a more objective view point on a number of our procedures and practices.
Andrew has also carried out a number of practical, bench level training sessions for both technicians and more senior staff and is always happy to answer questions and offer all levels of advice.

Pukka Pies Ltd have used the professional services of Andrew Watson from LABhelp in 2015. Andrew had previously audited our CLAS accredited Laboratory whilst working for Campden BRI. We did therefore remember his professional yet friendly approach. This was the main reason for choosing the services available from LABhelp and particularly Andrew.
We planned, built and moved into a brand new laboratory in 2015. Andrew came onsite to give his advice during the construction and his help and suggestions were invaluable. After the move we decided it was the ideal time to update and improve the Laboratory Manual. The existing manual was constructed in a confusing manner which meant that the annual CLAS audits were spent trawling through trying to find the relevant policies and methods Auditors asked to see. Andrew completely re-arranged the manual in such a way that now points in the Audit schedule are numbered to match in the new manual. The first annual external audit this year was so much easier and less stressful because of the ease of finding documents.
Andrew has now become our internal auditor. The audits are far better structured and it was the first time in many years that the external auditor raised no points or non-conformances concerning internal audits.
I know Andrew will continue to improve our Laboratory systems and help us to introduce new tests and methods to fully utilise our brilliant new laboratory. I would not hesitate in recommending LABhelp.

6 months ago ADEY had an empty box for a microbiology lab. Today we received UKAS approval for a wide range of microbiology tests.
